Anyone who has spent time around kittens knows they can have some wonderfully strange proportions. Tiny legs, oversized ears, enormous eyes, fluffy bodies, and somehow a belly that looks like it belongs to a much larger cat. Sometimes a kitten simply has the classic adorable “pot belly” look, especially after eating. Other times, however, a persistently swollen or unusually large abdomen can be something worth discussing with a veterinarian.

The owner wasn’t simply posting a picture of a cute kitten. If a kitten’s belly remains unusually swollen or there are other concerning symptoms, a veterinarian is the right person to determine what is going on rather than relying on internet guesses.
Still, that hasn’t stopped fellow cat lovers from collectively falling in love with this tiny, round-bellied troublemaker.
Because sometimes the internet doesn’t need a dramatic story. Sometimes all it needs is one fluffy kitten lying on her back, looking ridiculously cute, and giving everyone a reason to ask the same question:
